Therapy that encourages and empowers
Guiding Healing versus Treatment
Do you feel alone? Like the world is burning? In today's day and time, it is hard to cope with the day to day. We have political overwhelm as well as climate overwhelm. I hear you. I see you. I don't promise to have all of the answers but I promise to meet you where you are as a human being. I am here to help you cope and provide a nonjudmental and safer space to process your experiences. I will help you learn how to be present in your body and identify what subtle messages your body might be telling you. Clients often describe my "superpower" as being a calming, gentle presence for my clients. You will be the expert of your experience and I am here as a guide. I aim to encourage and empower you to be your authentic self.
My therapy style includes the belief that we all live within larger systems that have significant impacts on our physical, financial, mental, and emotional well being. In addition to clinical trauma work, I am a registered yoga teacher. My approach is grounded in the idea that trauma is stored in our bodies and requires more than just talk therapy.
I am passionate about helping queer and gender non conforming clients live their most authentic selves with kindness. My experience includes providing therapy to individual adults, typically in the 18-45 age range. My practice is trans affirming and I have experience providing Gender Affirmation Surgery letters. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and identity issues. I provide kink and poly/CNM informed therapy and have both clinical and lived experience with religious trauma.
I’m a sex positive and fat positive clinician. I actively engage in personal and clinical work to provide a safer space for all humans and bodies. I use a liberation-focused, person-centered, and trauma-informed lens. It is my opinion that therapy should be collaborative and non pathologizing. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!

Typically my rates are:
Individual Therapy $200 for a 55 minute session
I offer an income based sliding scale for folks who are part of the BIPOC or LGBTQIA+ community, as well as for students. The scale ranges from $80-$150, depending on service and financial need. Please be aware that sliding scale spots are limited and may not be available at the time that you need services.
My office operates on a fee-for-service basis. Payment in full is due at the time of service. I accept payment by credit card via a patient portal site.
As for insurance, I currently accept United Healthcare (Optum, Oxford included) and Aetna. However, if I am Out of Network for your plan, my services may still be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I would be happy to provide you a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance plan.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions to your insurance or employee benefit plan,
• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Good Faith Estimate Request
As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the costs of your care. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your treatment. After scheduling an initial appointment, you may request from me a Good Faith Estimate document, which puts into writing cost of sessions, frequency of sessions, and duration of treatment.
